deviant insults another deviant. third deviant stands up for second deviant. third deviant gets banned for "policy violation" apparently stemming from sticking up for second deviant. first deviant walks away, and is only punished after community makes a whole hoopla.
.....
umm, did I miss something here?
Hmmm. I logged in to dA this afternoon to discover I have a free, one-week trial subscription. Why? I'm not sure - I'm hoping that this is just something they've always done, and not something new in light of the recent events that have been plaguing our beloved community lately - because it's left me...unsettled. Especially considering that it now appears that I'm supporting financially, which I have been adamant in the past I would NOT do until things cleared up. I mean, don't get me wrong, it IS a nice gesture - I just hope it's being done with the right intentions.
Used with kind respect from bookdiva's journal:
Icore !icore Banned for seven days

!deviot Banned indefinitely for quoting one line, in his journal. [link]
~~~~~~
!jmills74 Banned for 30-days
Things and situations continue to be extremely out of control...
~~~~~~
Telling someone to harm themselves is apparently accepted.
~~~~~~
degrading
- insulting, ridiculing, name calling, imitating and infantilizing; behaviour which diminishes the identity, dignity and self-worth of the person. Examples: yelling, swearing, publicly humiliating or labelling a person as stupid; mimicking a person's disability; treating a senior as if she or he cannot make decisions. Antonella Gambato
The six quotations below are from J.E. Brown
False accusations of wrongdoing are verbal abuse.
Abusive people will always pretend the victim is overreacting. It's called a tactic.
The belief that it's OK to insult others is what keeps many people single.
We get good at the things we practice. Last week, did you practice ways to be sarcastic to people? Or did you practice ways to make people feel good?
Verbal abuse is not a form of play.
Verbal abuse is not a form of entertainment.
~~~~~~
Enough is enough...the lack of professionalism, the banning, the verbal attacks by staff members, the negative connotations and the often defaming, demeaning/vocal abuse by some of the admins (not all), who represent dA the company, and, the way things are implied in order to cause others to view particular deviants as being obnoxious, is out of control. Enough is enough, in this public internet community. What admins say, could come back to haunt not only them, as individual representatives of dA, but also come back to haunt dA, itself, as a company. Those staff who demean and insult others are not exhibiting professional behavior...it is unacceptable...and they should be held responsible, just as others have been.
Used with kind respect from deviot's journal:
IS THE CURRENT DEVIANTART STAFF LYING TO YOU?
deviantart.com is on record for making OVER ONE MILLION DOLLARS a year... but,
$Josh, a member of the deviantart.com administration, says, "He [°jark] may at some point, and this is a may here, win a legal battle which forces deviantART to give him [°jark] some money." $Josh continues to say, "if he [°jark] loses, deviantART is out a whole lot of money in legal fees. Money which deviantART doesn't have."
$1.2 MILLION... for $spyed's legal fees ...
20050907 update - °jark has brought some real legal fee numbers to light on his webpage here at [SAVE-THE-ALIEN] . please take a look... stay informed...
...i'm quite amazed at the support and resolve the community has for °jark... it makes me happy to know that so many people care for his plight... his cause.
°jark and °matteo always said, "deviantART loves you."
We must continue to remember what it is we're fighting for; the future of the community, an administration we can trust, and justice for Scott. We cannot let ourselves be distracted by "pretty new features" - it's a sad attempt on Angelo's part to try and make this all go away by pretending a major problem doesn't exist. It DOES exist, and it won't go away until it is resolved. FAIRLY.
Some inspirational quotes from His Holiness the Dalai Lama:

cannot get out. Finish reading this
until it is done! As I said, I am
Teddy. I am 7 years old. I have no eyes
and blood all over my face. I am dead.
If you don't send this to at least 12
people I will come to your house at
midnight and I'll hide under your bed.
When you're asleep, I'll kill you.
Don't believe me?
Case 1:
Patty Buckles
Got this e-mail. She doesn't believe
in chain letters. Well, Foolish Patty.
She was sleeping when her TV started
flickering on and off. Now she's not
with us anymore. Ha ha patty, Ha ha!
You don't want to be like Patty, do
you?
Case 2:
George M. Simon
Hates chain mail, but he didn't want
to die that night. He sent it to 4
people. Not good enough George. Now,
George is in a coma, we don't know if
he'll ever wake up. Ha ha George, Ha
ha! Now, do you want to be like George?
Case 3:
Valarie Tyler
She got this letter. Another chain
letter she thought. Only had 7 people
to
send to. Well, That night when she was
having a shower she saw bloody Mary
in the mirror. It was the BIGGEST
fright of her life. Valarie is scarred
for
life.
Case 4:
Derek Minse
This is the final case I'll tell you
about. Well, Derek was a smart person.
He sent it to 12 people. Later that
day, he found a $100.00 bill on the
ground. He was premoted to head
officer at his job and his girlfriend
said
yes to his purposal. Now, Katie and
him are living happily ever after.The
have 2 beautiful children.
Send this to at least 12 people or
you'll face the consequences.
0 people- You will die tonight
1-6 people- you will be injured
7-11 people- you will get the biggest
fright of your life
12 and over- you are safe and will
have good fortune!
